Official Rules & Regulations
📅 Contest Period
August 4 to September 26, 2025.
Every week we’ll celebrate our Restaurant of the Week by giving away a total of five (5) $20 prizes x 8 weeks.
Follow-us on Facebook for details on our participating food vendors.
Each week highlights one of the following restaurants:
- Hot Shoppe
- Kuma Bento
- Mama Africa
- Silver Bowl
- Smachno UA Ukrainian Bakery
- Tim Hortons
- Wendy’s
- Westside Charlies
📝 How to Enter
- Make a purchase at the featured restaurant of the week.
- Fill out a ballot provided at the restaurant with your full name and contact information.
- Deposit your completed ballot into the designated entry box at the restaurant.
Each purchase entitles you to one entry. No limit on the number of entries per person, but each ballot must be tied to a separate purchase.
🎉 Prize Details
- Five (5) winners will be randomly drawn every Friday during the contest period.
- The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate for the restaurant featured that week.
- Prizes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
📣 Winner Announcement
- Winners will be contacted via the information provided on the ballot.
- Winners will also be announced on The Village Shopping Centre’s Facebook page.
✅ Eligibility
- Open to legal residents of Newfoundland and Labrador, aged 18 or older.
- Employees of The Village Shopping Centre and participating restaurants are not eligible to enter.
⚠️ Additional Terms
- All participants agree fully to all rules by way of participating.
- The Village Shopping Centre reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
- Winners of all prizes must pick up at the Administration Office and sign a Winner Waiver and Release Form at time of claiming.
- Village Shopping Centre gift certificates won during August will expire on September 30, 2025, and gift certificates won during September will expire on October 31, 2025.
- Promotional gift certificates must be used in the purchase of merchandise and no change will be given. They cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash money or used to purchase retailer gift cards.
- Retailer Prizes must be accepted as awarded and any dispute that comes about due to the presentation, facilitation and execution of retail prizes will be dealt with between the retailer/provider of said prize and the winner and will preclude any involvement, legal or otherwise of The Village Shopping Centre and their immediate families, Plaza Group and its employees and immediate families.
- By entering, participants agree to allow The Village Shopping Centre to use their name for promotional purposes without further compensation.
